The ALS Alliance was launched in 2017 as a formidable coalition of three major players in the oil, gas and marine service industries in East Africa: namely Alpha Logistics, LBH Mozambique and Subtech Mozambique,
Working in Africa presents many challenges and the Alliance offers practical solutions for successfully navigating the unforgiving terrain and remote sites of the African continent and Mozambique in particular. The Alliance is a pooling of comprehensive assets, resources, skills and influence – a team of industry specialists and professionals providing exceptional marine services and offering value-add to their customers on a global scale.
The Alliance was formed specifically for the Afungi LNG projects and is well-positioned to offer superior and practical marine services. The lynchpin of the service offering is the ALS Marine Bridge which terminates at the Afungi Marine Gateway in Palma near the LNG projects of Total and ExxonMobil and incorporates our unique terminal under development Nacala (the Nacala Logistics Terminal) and Alpha Logistics’ supply base in Mombasa.
The ALS Marine Bridge uniquely connects global liner services in key regional ports with the LNG projects in Palma via a process and marine assets with shallow draft capability to call on Palma within current maximum draft restrictions. ALS staff; unique terminal facilities; expert documentation and project management;tugs; barges; LCT’s and insight to the cargo flows capacitate the ALS Marine Bridge.
With over 25 years’ experience in Mozambique, LBH Mozambique not only specialises in dry and liquid bulk agency but their scope of work includes ships agency, inland logistics monitoring and coordination as well as the creation of alternative export routes and facilities across South Africa, Namibia and Mozambique.
